INCENTIVE: Han Solo is the kind of guy who for the majority of his life has only looked after one person: himself.

Orphaned at a young age, Han turned to the one thing he thought meant survival in a rough galaxy: thievery. That quickly turned into smuggling. He'd been called a scoundrel before, and the description of him was a pretty apt one. Until Chewbacca the Wookie and his life debt came along, Han really only acted in his own best interests. Though initially annoyed by the wookie's persistence, eventually he became appreciative of him and even felt just as indebted to him for his co-piloting skills and loyalty. So for once in his life, it wasn't only just about him - now there were two.

But it wasn't until a certain old man and wide-eyed farmboy came into his life that his priorities started to change. Though not eager to help their worthy, noble cause and originally claiming to just be in it for the money, something shifted for the smuggler. He began doing things for other people, namely for Luke and Leia, when there wasn't really much monetary value in it for him. Though he's still only beginning to realize his true feelings for the princess, his incentive for joining Eudio would have a lot to do with her. Sure, they've exchanged affections by now and gone to great lengths to be with the other, but that doesn't mean he's completely changed. Though he was married once for an illegal scheme, this is the first time he's felt something like this before and yeah, it's pretty scary. Han won't easily admit this aloud to anyone, but when the representative from Eudio approached him, Leia was the first thing that came to mind. So his incentive would be that he didn't screw up this new thing they had, and all the potential that was there for a future together. In the wake of the victory on Endor, he wanted to be a better man for Leia, but also for Luke and even the fledgling Rebellion. He knew how important that was to the twins, and that was enough for him.
FIT: Han is not the kind of guy to trust easily. Lando Calrission was considered his closest friend for a while, and yet he didn't even trust the man completely. It was like a code and way of living for the smuggler, having been burned one too many times, at least until he had reasons to trust people again. So at this point in his life he'll be most open to hugging and shaking hands with friends and allies, then he'll instinctively want to stick close to them for a little while. But that openness he has with them, plus his incentive for being there in the first place will help him be more willing to extend similar affections to new people - especially if he senses something of a kindred spirit in them. If they give him a reason not to trust them, however, it will probably take longer for him to warm up to them.

That being said, he feels strongly toward Leia Organa. That strong attraction means they do many things passionately, whether it be fighting and yelling at each other, or sharing words of undying affection and long embraces. But he is only a man, and a scoundrel at that, so he'll likely still recognize beauty in others. But the way he feels about Leia means he probably won't be conducting himself that intimately with anyone else. That being said, he understands consent and wouldn't actually try something if someone said no. Of course people make mistakes and have moments of weakness and temptation can come at just the worst moments, but he's adamant not to lose this woman he secretly knows he doesn't deserve. At the moment, though he's still having difficulty saying it aloud in so many words, he's pretty smitten.
